Dietetics

A Dietitian works with young people, their families, and the specialist eating disorders clinical team to ensure that nutritional goals are met.

Typically, dietitians start by doing a nutritional assessment. The assessment looks at blood test results, weight, height, growth pattern, nutritional requirements, and eating habits. Based on this assessment, the dietitian provides evidence-based advice. The advice often focuses on preventing nutritional deficiencies and ensuring a young person is getting enough nutrition to grow and develop.
